This is my debut here on Townhall and I would like to warn you that... You might not like what I have to say. But that is the Beauty of our United States of America. The Land of the Free.

When does the lunacy stop?

This is a call for help against what I call: "The Overzealous Child Support System" here in America.

I am going to be straight with you. I haven't been the the best father to my children. I will even go on to say that the one child (my first) has never met me face to face.

I am 46, she is 27. I finally located her after several years searching the internet for any trace of her after her mothers and my divorce in 1981. Since then I have been fighting the Texas OAG over child support arrears that have a whopping price tag of $34,000.00 in which only $16,000.00 is the principal.

My Bank account has been Levied 2 twice now and is currently under seizure by the Texas OAG. My employer is going to get a garnishment letter soon (I am sure) and what next? My Taxes!! Probably.....

I am not expecting anybodies sympathy here. I was Dumb, Young and irresponsible. I have since married a fantastic woman (happily married for 17 years). I am a born again christian and I have been fiscally responsible after my long bout with drugs, sex, rock and roll.

Look.. This girl (my daughter) doesn't want anything to do with me except me acknowledging that I fathered her and we are building a relationship based on NOW not then. But her Mother who is since been married longer than I, is a homeowner (I am not). has other children, persist in pursuing this arrears and Texas is more than happier to oblige.

Don't you think this is ludicrous? I keep a minimum of cash in my checking account now, because I know that they will persist. Sure.. it's a nuisance, but as long as the Texas State Tax Payer will pay for this kind of litigation, I guess the Great State of Texas is doing their moral duty.

I only ask for one thing and one thing only. If there is anyplace I can go to fight this lunacy... please direct me there. Thanks.
